John Forster New Junior Development Director

Commodore Tennis Names New Director of Junior Development

We are so excited to announce John Forster as the new Director of Junior Development for Commodore Tennis! John will be running our new tennis curriculum that that we have designed for students using the Red, Orange, Green and Yellow ball system while making it fun for kids of all ages!

We will be using a 3 tier progression for each level, incentivizing students to work hard to make those leaps! Students must master certain skills to navigate levels, and reach the goals we set at the beginning of a session. We will use friendly competition to motivate students and to help them learn fundamentals, technique, and ultimately, winning strategies! This is a winning formula that will work for all levels!

John brings his UPTR Professional and USTA High Performance certification to Commodore Tennis! John has successfully guided many players from the junior ranks through college tennis, including his two daughters, both of whom played for Saint Andrew’s School at the Varsity level!

Back to Back Titles

The Saint Andrew's Girls Tennis Team head into the 2017-2018 season as reigning back to back State Champions!  It was another amazing effort by our kids who look to Threepeat this coming season!

The Boy's Team also had a great result barely falling to the eventual State Champions in a heartbreaking semifinal loss.  They too will come back even stronger this season looking to avenge the loss and join the Girls at the top of the podium!

Good Luck Saint Andrew's!!

Saint Andrew's School and Commodore Tennis Courts Get New Look

You may find something different about the tennis facility at Saint Andrew's and Commodore Tennis when you return from break!  After much thought, we decided to think outside the box when resurfacing the courts, and we went with a Saint Andrew's Red and White!  The courts are very unique, and look unlike any courts this side of Roland Garros (where the French Open is played).

Please feel free to check out the facilities!  We are also in the process of putting up new windscreens and painting the HOME OF THE SCOTS courtside and that should be finished within the next week or so!

We hope you LOVE the courts as much as we do!  The response from the junior players who played a tournament here this weekend was AMAZING!  THEY ALL LOVED IT!!!

See you at the courts!
